The Federal Law establishes a new procedure for maintaining the state forestry register, including that of the creation of a federal state forestry information system.
In addition, the Federal Law regulates issues related to the procedure for accounting for timber and products after processing, transportation and storage.
The Federal Law improves the legal regulation of relations arising from the use of forests and taking measures for their conservation, and also clarifies the powers of federal and regional government bodies in the field of forest relations.
As well as this, the Federal Law provides for the administrative inspection of forests, the implementation of federal state supervision in the field of acceptance, transportation, processing and storage of timber, accounting for timber and transactions with it, and the establishment of technical control on vehicles and equipment used for transporting timber and extinguishing forest fires.
