The Federal Law aims at improving the legislation of the Russian Federation on non-profit organisations, notably, on the activities of those acting as a foreign agent, and structural units of foreign non-profit NGOs.
In part, the Federal Law defines the notion of “foreign sources,” and requires non-profit organisations acting as a foreign agent and structural units of foreign non-profit NGOs to submit to the Ministry of Justice of Russia programmes and other documents that serve as the basis for holding events, and reports on implementing such programmes and documents.
