The Federal Law establishes that speeches and images of the leaders of Nazi groups, organisations or movements, recognised as criminal in accordance with the verdict of the International Military Tribunal for the trial and punishment of the main war criminals of the European Axis countries (Nuremberg trials), as well as speeches and images of the leaders of organisations that collaborated with these groups, organisations or movements are extremist materials, the use of which, including public display, is prohibited.

The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 6 of the Federal Law On Immortalising Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 and Article 1 of the Federal Law On Countering Extremist Activities.
