For the mass heroism and valour, fortitude and courage displayed by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to confer the honorary designation Guards on the 2nd Mixed Order of Suvorov Aviation Regiment. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 2nd Guards Mixed Order of Suvorov Aviation Regiment.
