The President’s Executive Order establishes the honorary title, Merited Defence Industry Professional of the Russian Federation, in order to further improve the state award system of the Russian Federation.
This title of honour can be awarded to employees of defence industry contractors and other individuals who ensure the implementation of state armament programmes and government defence contracts; who develop and carry out government policy in the field of the defence industry and the defence logistics required for the defence and security of the country; as well as for personal achievements in developing, creating, introducing, and organising the manufacture of modern armaments, military and special equipment and high technology civilian and dual-purpose products; and for other important achievements in developing the defence industry.
