For mass heroism and courage, fortitude and bravery shown by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 14th Fighter Aviation Regiment. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 14th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment.
