For mass heroism and courage, fortitude and bravery shown by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 8th Shavlinskaya Order of Kutuzov Air Defence Missile Brigade. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 8th Guards Shavlinskaya Order of Kutuzov Air Defence Missile Brigade.
