The Federal Law introduces amendments to certain provisions of the Basic Principles of Legislation of the Russian Federation on Notaries and to Federal Law The Consular Regulations of the Russian Federation with a view to extending the powers of consular officials regarding notarial acts.
The Federal Law grants consular officials the authority to perform a notarial act certifying the equivalence of an electronic document to the paper copy.
