In accordance with the Federal Law, employees of transport security units are empowered to disable unmanned aerial vehicles in order to protect transport infrastructure facilities from acts of unlawful interference.
In addition, transport infrastructure companies shall provide federal security service agencies with buildings, facilities, office and other space, equipment, means of communication and communication services free of charge in order for them to perform their work on rail, water, and air transport and metro systems.
The Federal Law also clarifies certain provisions of the Air Code of the Russian Federation, including those relating to the use of the Russian Federation airspace, collecting fees for regular air transportation of passengers and baggage, establishing air navigation and airport charges and tariffs for servicing aircraft at airports and in the airspace of the Russian Federation, performing aerial photography and other methods of remote sensing of the earth from airborne platforms, as well as search and rescue of aircraft in distress, their passengers and crews, astronauts, as well as people in distress at sea.
