For mass heroism and bravery, fortitude and courage, displayed by the brigade personnel during combat operations to defend the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 29th Separate Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Brigade named after Hero of the Soviet Union Colonel General Vladimir Pikalov. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 29th Separate Guards Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Brigade named after Hero of the Soviet Union Colonel General Vladimir Pikalov.
