For mass heroism and bravery, fortitude and courage shown by the Brigade’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to confer the honorary Guards designation on the Alexander Zakharchenko 5th Detached Motorised Rifle Brigade, which shall henceforth be referred to as the Alexander Zakharchenko 5th Guards Detached Motorised Rifle Brigade.
