The Federal Law introduces administrative liability for the operation of vehicles owned by foreign carriers with a permitted maximum weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes, in violation of traffic regulations for heavy and/or oversized vehicles within zones of automatic weight and dimension control. The law also establishes administrative liability for drivers of such vehicles who fail to comply with road signs or pavement markings in these control zones.
In addition, the Federal Law clarifies the existing provisions of the Code of Administrative Offences related to other violations of traffic regulations governing heavy and/or oversized vehicles, including those owned by foreign carriers.
