The Agreement was signed in Moscow on June 26, 2019, to regulate Russia-UAE relations on issues regarding the transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment. After being ratified and coming into effect, the Agreement will help protect the rights and legal interests of Russian citizens.
The Agreement sets out the conditions for transferring sentenced persons and the requirements for the form and content of the transfer requests and responses, as well as the request execution procedure.
