The Agreement was signed in Yerevan on April 7, 2016.
It provides for creating an institutional and legal framework with the view to promoting mutually beneficial cooperation in civilian space exploration, remote sensing of the Earth from space, using the results obtained from activities in outer space, as well as in other areas related to space exploration, and the use of space equipment and technology for peaceful purposes.
Specifically, the Agreement sets forth cooperation formats, and contains provisions related to intellectual property protection, information exchange and its protection.
The Federal Law is consistent with the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union and other international treaties of the Russian Federation.
