In addition to the leaders of the EAEU member states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia), the President of Moldova as the head of an EAEU observer state, as well as honorary guests – the President of Iran and the Prime Minister of Singapore – have been invited to the event.
The members of the Supreme Council will review current issues pertaining to the Eurasian Economic Union’s activity, promising spheres for the further development of integration processes and will outline tasks to improve the functioning of the EAEU common market and expand cooperation in key economic sectors.
The Concept for Establishing the EAEU Common Financial Market, the EAEU budget for next year and a number of decisions on harmonisation of transport and energy legislation have been prepared for the leaders’ approval.
The main directions of the Union’s international activities for 2020 will also be agreed on. In addition, a free trade agreement between the EAEU and Singapore will be signed.
On the sidelines of the event, the Russian President will meet with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of Iran Hassan Rouhani.
