The convention and the protocol were signed in Vladivostok on September 7, 2017.
The purpose of the convention is to avoid double taxation of Russian and Japanese citizens and legal entities.

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Convention between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Japan for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Income Tax Evasion, and the Corresponding Protocol.
