The President of Russia took part in the meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of State timed to the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Vladimir Putin met with the President of Kyrgyzstan on the summit’s sidelines.
In addition, Vladimir Putin took part in wreath-laying ceremonies at the memorial to those who perished during the tragic events of 1916 in the Ata-Beyit National Historical and Memorial Complex and at the monument to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War in the village of Arashan, and also visited a fitness complex built under the Gazprom for Children social programme.
At the end of his two-day visit, the President answered journalists’ questions.
