The message reads, in part:
“Over the years, Russia and Tajikistan built up their relations based on the traditions of friendship that unite our people. More than 150 bilateral agreements have been signed on political, economic, military, scientific and technical, cultural cooperation and ties in other areas. The two countries have established effective cooperation within the CIS, CSTO, SCO, the UN, OSCE and other multilateral frameworks.
I firmly believe that Russia and Tajikistan will continue to strengthen their strategic partnership in all areas, coordinate their efforts in countering international terrorism, extremism, cross-border crime and other challenges to regional security. There is no doubt that this will serve our common interests, contributing to peace and stability in Central Asia.”
