The presidents discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State to be held in a videoconference format in December and chaired by Uzbekistan.
They touched upon a number of important items on the bilateral and regional agenda, and reiterated mutual commitment to further strengthening the Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance, with an emphasis on expanding trade and economic ties.
The leaders paid particular attention to combating the spread of the coronavirus, including the use of the Russian-made vaccine.
