The instructions to the Russian Government concern preferential use of modern Russian-made software for the implementation of digital technologies in the transport sector; upgrading the transport companies’ vehicle fleet in accordance with modern environmental and technical requirements with priority use of Russian-made equipment; the production and acquisition by airlines of Russian-made aircraft of up to 65 seats for use on local and regional flights; and building a multifunctional technological cluster on the basis of the Russian University of Transport (MIIT).
The Government was also instructed to analyse the factors affecting the competitiveness of Russian transport companies in the local and international markets for transport services, including in the Eurasian Economic Union, and to prepare well-grounded proposals on harmonising the working conditions in these markets.
To create an integrated environment for the development of Russian motorways, the Government, together with the highest regional authorities, was instructed to ensure the use of new standards, materials and technologies to improve the quality of work, and to increase the attractiveness of road development projects through the development of roadside areas.
