The Russkoye Pole (Russian Field) Therapy and Rehabilitation Research Centre is a structural unit of the Dmitry Rogachev National Research Centre of Pediatric Haematology, Oncology and Immunology. It is located in the Moscow suburbs and has 200 beds. A wide range of rehabilitation services are available to restore and improve motor functions, overcome sensory processing disorders and aid psychological adjustment, social support and adaptation.
Mr Klimenko was shown the centre’s equipment and told about modern diagnostic and rehabilitation methods for children with cancer. Potential capabilities of long-distance technology and artificial intelligence to efficiently monitor the condition of children after the course of rehabilitation were also discussed.
Following the meeting, the participants adopted a decision on the centre’s participation in the Third Opinion project of the Internet Development Fund. They chose areas of joint work on digitising, classifying and interpreting clinical data with the use of neural networks.
