The focus of the meeting was the potential of preventive medicine in the early detection of cancer. In particular, participants addressed recently adopted changes in the rules for regular medical checkups for adults, to include the early detection of chronic, non-contagious diseases and determining the risk factors.
Emphasising the need and potential for digital technologies for processing the collected data, the head of the centre noted that several regions, for example, Voronezh, Kirov and Astrakhan regions, had made certain progress towards this.
Summarising the results of the meeting, the officials reaffirmed that the National Medical Research Centre for Cardiology is willing to cooperate with companies that can process digital medical data to resolve the issues of early disease detection.
