The President congratulated Anastasia Arkhipovskaya, Anastasia Bayandina, Darya Bayandina, Darina Valitova, Marina Golyadkina, Veronika Kalinina, Polina Komar, Varvara Subbotina, Vlada Chigiryova and Maria Shurochkina – members of the Russian synchronised swimming team – on winning the team technical routine at the 17th FINA World Championships in Budapest.
The message reads, in part:
“You have convincingly confirmed the leading position of the Russian synchronised swimming school at this important world water sports championship. You have demonstrated a strong team spirit and will for victory and performed the technical routine at a superior professional and emotional level.”
