Amendments have been made to some articles in the Administrative Offences Code

Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Amendments to Article 6.17 of the Russian Federation Administrative Offences Code, the Federal Law On Amendments to Article 7.5 of the Russian Federation Administrative Offences Code, and the Federal Law On Amendments to Article 19.12 of the Russian Federation Administrative Offences Code.

The first amendment introduces more effective administrative liability measures for illegal amber mining.

The second amendment brings the Administrative Offences Code’s provisions into line with the provisions of the Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law On Protecting Children from Information Harmful to their Health and Development. The amendment concerns dissemination of information through media and telecommunications networks (including the internet) and measures to prevent children from getting access to information harmful to their health and development.

The third amendment concerns rules on detention in the prison and pre-trial detention facilities and was made in order to bring the Administrative Offences Code into line with amendments to criminal corrections legislation made in 2006.
