During the conversation, Mr Putin and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed various aspects of the situation in Syria, including in the context of the possible coordination of joint efforts to resolve the crisis.
In addition, the two leaders considered the outcome of the oil-producing countries’ meeting in the Qatari capital Doha, held on April 17.
Much attention was paid to the progress in the implementation of the agreements reached during the Qatari leader’s visit to Russia last January, and to other aspects of further development of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
