The Agreement was signed in Yekaterinburg on June 16, 2009, at the SCO member states’ summit.
The Agreement lays the international law foundations for cooperation in training personnel for SCO member states’ counterterrorist units and raising the effectiveness of counterterrorist activities.
Such training will enable officers to improve the practical skills and knowledge in fighting terrorism, master modern tactical methods of counterterrorist operations, advance special personal backgrounds and exchange experience among the counterterrorist units.
