In particular, the situation in economy and the labour market was discussed. The achievements of Chechen law enforcement agencies in eliminating the criminal underground were also addressed.
Mr Kadyrov said unemployment is the biggest problem, but noted too, that the authorities in Chechnya have drawn up a number of industry and agriculture development programmes that will create new jobs.
On security matters, Mr Kadyrov noted that no terrorist attacks have taken place in Chechnya over the last year. The region’s law enforcement agencies have also carried out a number of special operations against leaders of underground armed groups.
