The Governor reported significant industrial growth in the region in 2013, specifically in the agro-industrial complex, which demonstrated a 15.5 percent growth rate. The gross regional product went up by 3.2 percent last year, and capital investment – by 6.2 percent.
During the meeting, Mr Mikhailov requested that the President relieve him of his duties ahead of term, so he can take part in the gubernatorial elections to be held in Kursk Region in September.
