The implementation of the law extending the Special Economic Zone was discussed during the meeting. The Federal Law extends the term of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Magadan Region until December 31, 2025, and regulates certain issues dealing with its functioning.
According to the Governor, 2014 was a very good year for the region: 24 tons of gold and over 900 tons of silver were extracted. A new enterprise at the Pavlik deposit will soon be commissioned, which will give almost 6 tons of gold a year once it reaches its ultimate capacity.
