According to Mr Nazarov, industrial production in the region is going up and small businesses are developing. The region is self-sufficient in grain, milk and meat, supplying foods to regions in the Far East. Social safety net measures are being implemented.
In the course of the meeting, Vladimir Putin said he accepted the Governor’s resignation following the latter’s request and appointed him Acting Governor until early gubernatorial elections.
