During the meeting with Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov.
Mr Volkov told the President that the industrial production index in the republic was 111 percent in 2014, the share of innovative goods being 28 percent, while the republic’s GDP grew by 8 percent.
The head of the region named the main import replacement projects, which include the production of fibre optics: a new plant has been commissioned to produce 3 million kilometres of fibre, which would cover half the country’s current need in the material, with the local cable plant using about 20 percent of the fibre in its own production.
