Thus, the Russian Federation becomes a full-fledged regional member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
The main goals of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank are promoting sustainable economic development and strengthening infrastructure interconnectivity between the region’s economy, stimulating economic and social development of Asian nations by investing in infrastructure and other industrial sectors of the economy.
Future priorities in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s work include financing projects in areas that include energy, transport and telecommunications, with the use of a broad range of instruments, including loans, equity swaps, and providing financial guarantees.
