The meeting was held via videoconference and attended by Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov, working group members, as well as heads and deputy heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov delivered a progress report on measures to enhance economic resilience to sanctions.
Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Irek Fayzullin, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov and Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Yelena Mukhtiyarova delivered reports on the ongoing work to counter the pressure of sanctions in their areas of responsibility.
Chelyabinsk Region Governor and Chairman of the State Council Commission on Economy and Finance Alexei Teksler and Novgorod Region Governor and Chairman of the State Council Commission on Social Policy Andrei Nikitin spoke about the situation in the regions.
The participants exchanged views on progress in implementing the Government resolutions on low-cost lending to critically important enterprises in construction, industry and trade, as well as utilities and small and medium-sized businesses, and on additional capitalisation of regional industrial development funds. They also discussed ways to support the labour market and the core efforts to reduce unemployment, including in single-industry towns.
Proposals approved by the working group will be submitted for further consideration to the Government Commission on Enhancing Economic Resilience to Sanctions.
