The message reads, in part:
“Your arts festival has gathered international classical music, opera and ballet stars from around the world. Naturally, it is very important that the festival’s guests, Russian and international lovers of the arts, have an opportunity to acquaint themselves with modern-day Siberia and its history, discover its diverse cultural traditions, and experience the hospitality and cordiality for which Siberia has always been known.
It is in this type of friendly social atmosphere that extraordinary, useful ideas are born, as well as promising projects that enrich relations between nations and peoples.
I am confident that the Trans-Siberian Arts Festival will become a notable social and cultural event that will represent the legacy of outstanding classical works and modern arts, and provide the public with many wonderful and unforgettable experiences.”
The Trans-Siberian Arts Festival is held in Novosibirsk from March 31 until April 12.
