The telegram reads, in part:
“In the years of its existence the Forum has demonstrated its efficiency and relevance by actively assisting in the development of a dialogue between representatives of the academic, cultural, artistic and educational communities of the Commonwealth nations. This is very important because it is in the humanitarian sphere that we lay the foundations of mutual understanding, respect and trust between peoples.
Many of the ideas that took shape at your previous meetings are already being translated into life. The substantive agenda of the current Forum gives a good opportunity to discuss new promising initiatives and joint multilateral humanitarian cooperation projects within the CIS.
It is symbolic that this time the Forum is giving special attention to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. I am certain that you can make a significant contribution to preparing cultural and educational events timed for this memorable date.”
The Forum is held in Moscow under the motto Development of a Common CIS Humanitarian Space: Cooperation Prospects and Challenges.
