In recognition of Irina Antonova’s significant contribution to the development of Russian culture and museum studies, as well as her many years of fruitful public service, the President instructed the Government to institute Irina Antonova personal scholarships for students of museology and the protection of landmarks of cultural and natural heritage (12 scholarships), as well as art history (one scholarship). The Government has also been instructed to determine the criteria and process of awarding the scholarships.
The Moscow Government was advised to consider naming an element of the capital’s street and road network after Irina Antonova.

Irina Antonova (1922 — 2020) was a Soviet and Russian art historian and expert on Italian Renaissance painting, Director (1961–2013) and President (2013—2020) of the Alexander Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.
