Mr el-Sisi expressed his profound condolences to Mr Putin and the Russian people following the tragic death in a terrorist attack of Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov.
The two presidents discussed the situation in the Middle East, including settlement of the crises in Syria and Libya. They stressed the need to unite the entire international community’s efforts in fighting the terrorist threat.
During their exchange of views on the bilateral relations agenda, the two presidents noted the results of joint work between Russian and Egyptian aviation security experts and intelligence service representatives, which give good reason to hope that regular flights between Moscow and Cairo will resume soon.
