The participants discussed a wide range of issues related to conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, including the impact of climate change on biodiversity, mobilisation of resources to support developing countries, and the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
During his address at the High-Level Segment, the Presidential Aide informed delegates about Russia’s plan to finalise a revised national strategy in this area by the end of 2025.
On the sidelines of the event, Ruslan Edelgeriyev held meetings with Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev and representatives from the UAE and Tajikistan.
