In order to improve pension provisions for people in Crimea and Sevastopol until the relevant federal law is passed, the President instructed that pensioners will receive a monthly top-up to their pension, which over a four-month period will gradually be raised to the level of a 100-percent increase to their pension.
These additional payments will be made to retirees until their pensions are recalculated in accordance with Russian law.
Mr Putin issued the relevant instructions to the Russian Government. In particular, the Government has two months to submit to the State Duma a draft federal law on procedures and conditions for setting pensions for people in Crimea and Sevastopol in accordance with Russian law.
