The event was attended by Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Alexander Uss, Commander of the Russian Cossack Society Nikolai Doluda, Deputy Head of the Presidential Civil Service and Personnel Directorate – Executive Secretary of the Presidential Council for Cossack Affairs Alexander Orekhov, as well as Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Andrei Platonov.
Executive Secretary of the Presidential Council for Cossack Affairs Alexander Orekhov pointed out that Cossacks’ participation in the implementation of the youth policy was a vital part of the State Policy Strategy Regarding Russian Cossacks for 2021–2030, which has been approved by the President. Summing up the results of the meeting, he noted: “The rallying of young Cossacks and the development of lasting trust-based relations are the main result of this meeting. Its outcome will be taken into account in the future actions to support Cossack youth.”
During a grant contest held by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, young Cossacks from 53 Russian regions presented their projects on the development of the Cossack movement and the study and promotion of Cossack traditions. Nine representatives of Cossack youth organisations were declared winners.
Cultural events occupied a special place in the forum’s agenda. In particular, the delegates were able to learn more about the inimitable couture of Krasnoyarsk Territory, its tourism potential and the history of local Cossacks.
