The meeting, which took place in the hall of church councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, was attended by representatives of 11 military Cossack societies that are part of the Russian Cossack Society.
In his welcome remarks, Dmitry Mironov thanked the participants for their consistent and purposeful work to consolidate Russian Cossacks and realise their potential to strengthen Russian statehood.
“The Russian Federation State Policy Strategy Regarding Russian Cossacks for 2021–2030, approved by the President, envisages specific tasks that, I am sure, will be fulfilled with the direct involvement of the Russian Cossack Society,” Mr Mironov noted.

Participants in the meeting of the First Greater Circle approved the performance report by Russian Cossack Society Ataman Nikolai Doluda and took decisions to include the Black Sea Cossack Army in the Russian Cossack Society, as well as the district Cossack societies operating in the Kaliningrad Region and St Petersburg that are not part of the military Cossack societies.
Also taking part in the meeting were Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov, Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, and Deputy Education Minister Denis Gribov.
