Presidential Aide, State Council Secretary Igor Levitin and Sakhalin Region Governor Valery Limarenko co-chaired a meeting of the State Council Commission on Investment.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Ilya Torosov,Head of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography Oleg Skufinsky, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Katyrin, and representatives of federal and regional executive government bodies, businesses, and the expert community.
The meeting participants discussed ways of attracting investment to implement national projects and using the federal state information system – the Unified Digital Platform National Spatial Data System – for investment activities.
Igor Levitin noted that investment is an instrument of reaching the goals of practically all national projects. He suggested discussing ways of making finances more accessible for businesses and instruments for supporting large-scale projects that may become drivers for a whole group of economic sectors.
Ilya Torosov reported on the support provided by VEB.RF State Development Corporation for implementing investment projects and mentioned the planned amount of investment in these projects.
Oleg Skufinsky explained how the National Spatial Data System, which is a set of legally significant open federal, regional and municipal spatial data, might be used in making decisions on territorial planning and spatial development in the regions.
Valery Limarenko spoke about the regional experience of using spatial data systems for improving the quality of interaction with investors.
The summary materials of the Commission’s meeting may be used by federal and regional executive government bodies in charge of investment projects and administrative control.
