The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to make decisions to provide financial aid from the federal budget to the budgets of the Kurgan, Orenburg and Tyumen regions for 2024 spring flood relief.
In particular, the Government has also been instructed to make amendments to legislation that envisage, in particular, the increase of the amount and subsequently adjustment of various types of corresponding material and financial assistance to affected citizens; increase and adjustment of the amount it takes to repair one square metre of the total area of the damaged residential premises; ensuring the right of the citizens affected by natural and man-made disasters to paid days off and (or) unpaid leaves of absence to be used for restoring acceptable living conditions.
A number of instructions have been issued to the Government and the executive bodies of the Kurgan, Orenburg and Tyumen regions which concern, in particular, providing priority support to the most vulnerable populations, including large families, people with children, pensioners, people with disabilities, veterans, and families of the participants in the special military operations, as well as making summer vacation arrangements for children residing in the flooded areas caused by 2024 spring flooding.
