Senior officials in constituent entities of the Russian Federation are required to organise permanent coordination meetings on maintaining law and order in the regions, the document says.
The main responsibilities of the coordination meetings include analysing the current situation and the performance analysis of regional Internal Affairs Ministry bodies and other bodies of executive power responsible for law enforcement; developing measures aimed at maintaining law and order in their region; liaison on law enforcement issues with various local agencies, public institutions and non-profit organisations.
The decisions adopted by coordination meetings will be issued as directives by top regional officials, and, whenever necessary, as legislative acts by regional supreme executive authorities.
