The results of the nationwide inspection of the social orphanhood prevention system in the region were discussed at a meeting with Head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov. Experts from the Commissioner’s office visited regional institutions, inspected state assignments, analysed the work of guardianship and trusteeship authorities and commissions on minors’ affairs, and conducted interviews with parents. Maria Lvova-Belova noted that the situation in Adygea was stable, with positive trends observed. She indicated that the region had carefully considered the inspection’s recommendations, leading to the creation of an interdepartmental working group and a review of the personal files of children in each inpatient institution.
At an expanded meeting with heads of prevention system agencies and institutions, the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights presented the preliminary findings of the inspection along with the main recommendations.
Maria Lvova-Belova also visited the Adygean Republican Children’s Home, where she held a public reception.
