For the mass heroism and valour, fortitude and courage displayed by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to confer the honorary designation Guards on the 236th Artillery Brigade. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 236th Guards Artillery Brigade.
