The federal law envisages the possibility of early termination of powers of a State Duma deputy by a decision of the State Duma at the initiative of the commission where he is a member, as well as at the initiative of the Council of the State Duma.
The federal law also obliges senators of the Russian Federation and State Duma deputies to agree on their travels outside the territory of the Russian Federation, with the exception of official business trips, in the manner and within the time frame determined by the council of the relevant chamber of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. In case of the violation of this obligation, the powers of a senator of the Russian Federation or a State Duma deputy may be terminated early.
