As part of the 30th Russian Student Spring Festival, Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin, Governor of the Samara Region Dmitry Azarov and Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area Dmitry Artyukhov chaired a joint meeting of the State Council commissions on Culture and on Youth Policy.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, Deputy Minister of Culture Olga Yarilova, Chairman of the Russian Union of Youth Pavel Krasnorutsky, General Director of Bolshaya Peremena ANO Natalya Mandrova, General Director of the Centre for the Development of Cultural Initiatives and Head of the Tavrida art cluster Sergei Pershin, deputy heads of the Russian regions in charge of culture and youth policy, as well as representatives of interested federal executive authorities and the cultural community.
The meeting focused on issues of identifying and developing the creative abilities of children and youth, improving measures of state support for gifted children, and developing the youth policy infrastructure and extracurricular cultural education for children.
Just before the working trip to Samara, Igor Levitin inspected the construction of a Togliatti bypass road with a bridge across the Volga River as part of the Europe – Western China international transport route and took part on the Garden of Memory international campaign.
