The three leaders exchanged opinions about the progress made in the implementation of the Joint Declaration signed in 2010 in Astrakhan. The talks continued during a working lunch. Following the talks, Dmitry Medvedev, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan issued a joint statement.

The document states that the three leaders discussed the practical implementation of the tripartite declaration adopted during their previous meeting in Astrakhan on October 27, 2010, and decided to take the following steps in addition to those provided for in the declaration. In particular, the heads of state agreed to complete the exchange of prisoners as soon as possible. In addition, the document stresses their commitment to resolve all disputes by peaceful means and to investigate possible incidents along the ceasefire line, with the participation of the parties under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group with the assistance of the Special Representative of the OSCE chairman.

The Presidents noted the importance of their regular contacts on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and agreed to continue in this format in addition to the work of the OSCE Minsk Group, the statement reads.

Dmitry Medvedev, Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev also visited one of Krasnaya Polyana’s ski resorts.
