The President said, in particular, in his message:
“Azerbaijan has achieved substantial results in social and economic development and raising people’s living standards. The country’s election to a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council in 2012–2013 confirmed Azerbaijan’s growing influence on the international stage.
We value highly the positive dynamic in our bilateral relations, which are developing on the basis of friendship, mutual sympathy and trust. We want to continue building up our cooperation and enrich our strategic partnership with promising new trade and economic projects and cultural and humanitarian contacts.
I am sure that active political dialogue, consistent efforts to broaden the range of our mutually advantageous ties, and closer cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States are in our peoples’ fundamental interest and will help to maintain stability and security in the Trans-Caucasus.”
